about

The second part of the Samuel Hickory Cobb story. Sometimes a life of crime isn't an option, but rather a way of survival. Samuel made a bad decision killing a man when he was 22 and he know it. More importantly though, Samuel is willing to pay for it because he knows if presented with the same situation he would undoubtedly perform the same act.

lyrics

There were seven old men that left me here, left me here to die.
In seven long years, I’ll walk that plank; walk that plank to the darkness below.
These long nights make this body cold
That long whistle, from the train that chills my bones

I was brought into this world, and I was dealt a bad hand, was dealt a bad hand, I was born a wanted man
I did what I did, and I have no regrets, I have no regrets, for I walk this world alone
These long nights make this body cold
It’s that long whistle, from the train that chills my bones

My name is Samuel Hickory Cobb,
But folks just call me Filth

My time has come and I’ll pay for what I’ve done, I’ll pay for what I’ve done, and I’ll take it like a man
But all I’m asking is to remember my name, remember my name, and not just what I’ve done.
These long nights make this body cold
This long whistle, from the train that chills my bones

My name is Samuel Hickory Cobb, but folks just call me Filth
My name is Samuel Hickory Cobb, but folks just call me Filth
